Traveling to Israel as a family is a very meaningful way to celebrate a childs Bnei Mitzvah. There will be a beautiful ceremony including singing and dancing down to the Western Wall Plaza led by our staff in Jerusalem to mark the occasion, followed by an inspirational family talk with our top teen educator at the AISH World Center. Any participant no matter what age 12-112 who have not yet celebrated their Bnei Mitzvah are invited to join the ceremony. No preparation is required before the tour and there is no extra cost. Local family are welcome to join and participate by advance notice
This trip is focused on parents and their children including college aged and young adults. Grandparents are welcome as well! Travelers on the Israel Family Experience arrive with varying degrees of Jewish affiliation. Aish’s educational philosophy is that Judaism is not all or nothing; it is a journey where every step counts, to be pursued according to one’s own pace and interest. Mitzvot (commandments) are not rituals but opportunities for personal growth to be studied and understood. We learn the Torah’s wisdom to enrich our own lives and to share these ideas with all humanity. Aish HaTorah is a halachic organization so Shabbat will be observed in public and all meals are kosher.
Our goal is for your family to come home with new friends and have a richer travel experience by being in a group. Our leaders and guides will be aiming to create a sense of community amongst the participants. There are some free evenings and lunches with time for personal exploration. For those with many friends and relatives in Israel we suggest either coming early or extending your trip so you have ample time to visit with them. We can help with booking additional hotel nights and airport transfers.
