Dear Aish Family,
As I have said so many times, one of the greatest aspects of my job is the ability to travel the world and meet Jews who have been inspired by Aish HaTorah. This past week I had the pleasure of meeting a young man who attended our Aish Destinations program.
Aish Destinations was the brainchild of Rabbi Eric and Naomi Rivka Most. The Orthodox community sends thousands of post-High School students to Israel every year to study Torah. For a series of Saturday nights (Motzei Shabbos) Aish HaTorah provides a separate seminar in outreach for young Orthodox men and women. Brilliant speakers are brought in to discuss the importance of outreach and the best methodologies. In many ways, it is the best way to impart the importance of outreach to the Orthodox world.
This past week, I was approached by one of our Aish Destinations participants. He told me that the program had made a great impact on him. As a result, he was enrolling in Aish’s Summer Advanced Leadership Training and Certification course. This program was set up by Yeshiva Aish HaTorah Director, Rabbi Dovid Rosman, to take young Orthodox Jews to a whole new level in their ability to reach out to their Jewish brothers and sisters.
Rabbi Yonasan Caller, firstname.lastname@example.org, is in charge of recruitment and I highly recommend reaching out to him for young men who would like to spend the summer studying at Aish to become the future leaders of the Jewish nation.
In all truth and honesty, this is why Aish HaTorah was started. The dream was to instill in young people the commitment and concern for all Jews. We are a family and we must make sure that every Jew has the chance to study our heritage. A Jewish people who know where they have come from and where they are going is a dream belonging to the Almighty that Aish will work hard to achieve.
Warm regards and good shabbos!
