Dear Aish Family,
This week I was at an event and I experienced the same interaction that I have come to almost expect whenever I go anywhere. An alumnus approached me and told me that they studied at our Yeshiva.
Whenever I am approached I first ask them what years they studied at Aish. I can generally guess the answer based on the age of the alumnus. What was amazing about this person is that not only did they study at Aish but now their son is a student at Aish Gesher. We now routinely have second generation students in Yeshiva Aish HaTorah.
I asked him why he chose our Yeshiva for his son. He said the following “There are many Yeshivas (schools) that would teach my son WHAT to do. I want my son to know WHY we do it. In addition, I want my son to have a relationship with the Almighty. That can only happen at Aish.”
What a beautiful answer. At Yeshiva Aish HaTorah we spend every day focused on learning to talk to and to become one with the Almighty through prayer and the study of Torah. Our world class Rabbis will answer any questions from our students until they are satisfied.
Judaism must be a religion where one can ask any question that is sincerely in one’s heart. May the Almighty bless Aish with the strength to keep our doors open for many years to come so we can answer questions for Him.
Wishing everyone a happy and joyous Chanukah!
